Aren't you sick of the television news media yet?
Well, they're worthless to me. They are so wrapped up in their biased viewpoints and veiled motivations that they have truly gone beyond trying to educate and inform me. I don't care if they are considered liberal or conservative, I truly believe they have as much credibility as the grocery store tabloids. The difference is that the grocery store rags are more honorable because they don't pretend to be something they're not.
Another question for the journalists...where's the good news? I am so sick of suicide bombers, murders and the other horrifying crap we humans seem to do to each other. There is good news out there. People helping people...people beating the snot out of network news people...
I'm confining my news sources to reading blogs and tabloids from now on...at least the tabloids are funny.

Tort(oise) Reform
Tort(oise) Reform
Just a quick observation on this subject....
Attorneys always point the finger at insurance companies as creating this problem and that the insurers are making a fortune. While I agree that the insurance industry shares some of the blame, the legal profession's position doesn't add up.
If the insurance companies were cleaning up:
1. Lawyers, being the shrewd business people they pretend to be, would own a lot of insurance companies. I'll bet John Edwards doesn't even own a single share of an insurance company.
2. Insurance company stocks would be the "darlings" of Wall Street. I can't see any darlings from where I sit.
3. Rich egotistical insurance moguls would dominate our government, be running for office and make sure the laws they enact and maintain are favorable to their profession. Seems to me the majority of the egos in public "service" have law degrees.
Attorneys operate in a vaccum where the validity of the adage "No risk, no reward" rings as true as "Don't worry. The government will help you."

The Running of the Bullshit Festival
Is it just me or do others find the presidential election process embarrasing and demeaning?
I am not going to get too partisan here because I personally think politics is amoral and has lost it's way. Does anybody really believe that either of these two presidential candidates are being truthful or is it more important to do or say anything to get elected?
How can any truthful statesperson stand up and tell the American people that he has a health care plan that will "cost less" (than what?), cover everybody and fix the whole problem? If he has this plan shouldn't he have shared this long ago so we can get on with the other difficult issues facing the people of this country. BULLSHIT alert!! This kind of rhetoric is demeaning and confirms my thoughts; all I need is a good lobotomy and then I'll be able to buy into this crap.
Quit working for your "parties" guys and start working for the American people. Bi-partisan success should not only happen in response to horrible events like the devastating attacks of 9/11. How quickly did this wave of cooperation pass? Probably as quickly as political consultants indicated it was safe to go back to "lack of" business as usual.
One other thought..Michael Moore is no better than the scoundrels he purports to expose. He is practicing a new form of modern politics and making a fortune doing it. I resent him (and his political compadres) for not giving me credit for being able to think for myself. Half truths are half false...

What "people" think
The title is probably a good question in and of itself. The answer might be scary.
I am so tired of hearing people say "I wonder what people will think?"or "People think...". Who are these "people"?
Most of the time these "people" don't have enough information to formulate a valuable opinion. I know it doesn't stop them from throwing in their worthless opinion. "People" just can' resist sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. Keep your nose in your own life!
Those that get wrapped up in worrying about this insignificant source of information and opinion have lowered themselves and are no better than the self riteous twerps that spew their hurtful garbage. Do not fall into the trap of caring about other "peoples" half baked ideas and realities. Be true to yourself and your values. Be true to those that you love and love you.
If I ever get lucky enough to meet the leader of the "people" I will probably punch that person in the nose. Maybe not...what would people think?
People, people who heed "people" are the silliest people in the world.....
